Cold Wire Lubrication
Lubrication at Lower Temperature of Magnet Wires
Problems in lubricant application on wires with lower temperatures:
- Solidification of the wax at the wire/felt interface, barrier around the wire
- Cracking of the spool flanges by residual solvents
- Wire coating sensivity to solvents
Our yarn method solves the problem by:
- Temperature increase by friction
- Yarn lubrication in a heated application zone
Advantages:
- Only the direct contact of wire and yarn is heated
- Applicable for wires 0.18 – 2 mm
- Significant effect of polishing
- Application directly at the take-up is possible
- Post lubrication for rewinding
