Cold Wire Lubrication

Lubrication at Lower Temperature of Magnet Wires

old-method

Problems in lubricant application on wires with lower temperatures:

  • Solidification of the wax at the wire/felt interface, barrier around the wire
  • Cracking of the spool flanges by residual solvents
  • Wire coating sensivity to solvents

Our yarn method solves the problem by:

  • Temperature increase by friction
  • Yarn lubrication in a heated application zone

Advantages:

  • Only the direct contact of wire and yarn is heated
  • Applicable for wires 0.18 – 2 mm
  • Significant effect of polishing
  • Application directly at the take-up is possible
  • Post lubrication for rewinding
