Solventless Magnet Wire Lubrication – Featured in Wire & Cable Technology International

HELILUB Article

We are pleased to announce our latest publication in Wire & Cable Technology International. Our article, titled “Review on Solventless Magnet Wire Lubrication by Means of Wax-Impregnated Textile Yarn”, appeared in the June 2021 issue.

In this article, we offer insights of the mechanics of magnet wire handling. We describe how friction behaves when an enameled wire presses against a surface with a certain force (Fz). On dry, solid surfaces or with wax-based lubrication, the friction stays constant, even as the wire’s speed increases. In comparison, oil or grease lubrication creates viscous effects that vary with movement speed.
